Palava sauce is a delicacy in Ghana and West African, deriving it’s name from the Portuguese word palavra, meaning "discussion or conversation”. The stew is made with leafy greens, intense spices and flavored oil, and can contain meat, fish, or cassava, with many regional variations. The dish is more than just a meal; it is seen as a symbol of community, connection, and shared experiences from Ghana to Liberia to Nigeria and across West Africa.
